9 to 5 the musicalDolly Parton's 9 to 5: The Musical is based on the 1980 movie of the same name starring Dolly, with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. It has music and lyrics by Dolly ranging from rockabilly to rhythm and blues, and features a book by Patricia Resnick, based on the screenplay by Resnick and Colin Higgins.

The musical premiered in Los Angeles in September 2008, and opened on Broadway in April 2009. It received 15 Drama Desk Award nominations, the most received by a production in a single year, as well as four Tony Awards nominations. It last toured the UK in 2012/13 wiith Selladoor productions just announcing they are producing it at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End in 2019.

9 to 5 The Musical is a story of friendship, gossip and revenge of three office workers (Doralee, Violet and Judy) who turn the tables on their sexist, egotistical, lying, bigot of a boss. They conspire to take control of the company and learn there's nothing they can't do - even in a man's world.

The cast includes Bonnie Langford as Roz Keith until 11 January 2020, Caroline Sheen as Violet Newstead (the Lily Tomlin part), Chelsea Halfpenny is Judy Bernly (Jane Fonda) and Natalie McQueen is Doralee Rhodes - the part played by Dolly Parton - with Brian Conley as the boss Franklyn J Hart until 30th November with featured ensemble members Victoria Anderson, Alexander Bartles, Simon Campbell, Alexander Day, Rhiane Drummond, Demmileigh Foster, Molly-May Gardiner, Llandyll Gove,  Ben Irish, Jenny Legg, Natasha Mould, Jon Reynolds, James Royden-Lyley, Giles Surridge, Antoine Thomas-Sturge, Richard Taylor-Woods, Sasha Wareham and Emily Woodford.

Cast changes: Bonnie Langford, Brian Conley, Caroline Sheen and Natalie McQueen have extended their runs as ‘Roz Keith’, ‘Franklin Hart Jnr’, ‘Violet Newstead’ and ‘Doralee Rhodes’. Bonnie, Caroline and Natalie will all appear in the show until 11 January 2020 and Brian will appear in the show until 30 November 2019.

The musical will be directed by Jeff Calhoun, with choreography by Lisa Stevens, set and costume design by Tom Rogers, lighting design by Howard Hudson, musical supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Mark Crossland, musical direction by Andrew Hilton.

From a door beside the foyer entrance there are 2 steps into the Upper Circle. 33 steps down to Dress Circle (2 steps between rows), 71 down to Stalls. Staircases have handrails on both sides. Separate entrance for wheelchair users or special needs at street level via a ramp from Carting Lane.
