MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET TOUR

tour of million dollar quartetTony Award winning Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet was last seen playing at the Noel Coward Theatre in London’s West End until January 2012. It is now on its first ever UK Tour, which opened at Leicester Curve on 14th September 2016.

Inspired by the true story of the famed recording session where Sam Phillips (played by Peter Duncan and Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp) the "Father of Rock 'n' Roll" brought together icons Jerry Lee Lewis and. It tells the story of the night in 1956 when they came together at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest impromptu jam sessions in music history.

Joining Jason Donovan in the cast is Martin Kaye as Jerry Lee Lewis, Robbie Durham as Johnny Cash, William Wild is cast as Elvis Presley, Matt Wycliffe appears as Carl Perkins and Katie Ray is Dyanne.

The show which features some of the greatest rock numbers including Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, That's All Right, Sixteen Tons, Great Balls of Fire, Walk the Line, Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On, Who Do You Love? And Hound Dog.

Million Dollar Quartet is written by Tony Award nominees Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux and produced by Simon Friend and Mark Goucher. Olivier nominated Ian Talbot OBE, renowned for his tenure as both Artistic and Managing director at The Open Air Theatre in Regent's Park directs.
