beautiful carole king musicalPaul Blake, Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Mike Bosner in association with Michael Harrison are delighted to announce the national tour of the Olivier, Tony and Grammy award-winning BEAUTIFUL ā€“ THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL opening at the Bradford Alhambra on 9 September 2017. More tour dates and casting to be announced with tickets on sale soon.

The musical opened in the West End in 2015 and is currently booking until 5th August 2017Ā  at the Aldwych Theatre when the producion closes. . The book is by Douglas McGrath with words and music by Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.

Beautiful is a new hit musical from Broadway which premiered in 2014 and which tells the story of chart-topping music legend, Carole King.

She sold her first hit, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, when she was just seventeen and by the time she was twenty was writing number ones for some the biggest acts in rock ā€˜nā€™ roll, including the Drifters, the Shirelles, Aretha Franklin and the Monkees. it features classic numbers including So Far Away,Oh! Carol,It Might as Well Rain Until September, Some Kind of Wonderful, Up on the Roof, The Locomotion, You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling, One Fine Day, It's Too Late, You've Got a Friend (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman and Beautiful.

Beautiful is the story of her journey from schoolgirl to superstar; from her relationship with husband and song-writing partner Gerry Goffin, their close friendship and playful rivalry with fellow song-writing duo Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, to her remarkable rise to stardom.

She became one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history, and wrote the soundtrack to a generation.
