SOUTH PACIFIC TOUR
The 1949 Rogers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific was last seen in the West End in 2001 when it was revived by Trevor Nunn at the National Theatre.
Ambassador Theatre Group's Howard Panter has been very keen to bring the production to the UK, and the award winning Lincoln Center's long-running revival of South Pacific is now on a UK tour.
Set on a tropical island during World War II, South Pacific is the romantic story of two couples who are affected by the realities of war and their own prejudices. Its portrayal of Americans stationed in an alien culture in during the war is as poignant today as when it first thrilled audiences in 1949.
