BONNIE & CLYDE TOUR
BONNIE & CLYDE THE MUSICAL has just finished successful seasons in the West End, at the Arts and Garrick Theatres and is now to go on tour starting at Leicester Curve in February 2024.
At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from two small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned folk heroes and the Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares. Fearless, shameless, and alluring, Bonnie & Clyde is the electrifying story of love, adventure and crime that captured the attention of an entire country. The show features the songs “Raise A Little Hell”, “This World Will Remember Me” and “Made In America”.
When Bonnie and Clyde meet, their mutual cravings for excitement and fame, combined with a desperate need to lift themselves out of the endless banality and poverty of West Dallas, set them on a mission to chase their dreams. Their bold and reckless behaviour turns the young lovers' thrilling adventure into a downward spiral, putting themselves and their loved ones in trouble with the law. Forced to stay on the run, the lovers resort to robbery and murder to survive. As the infamous duo's fame grows bigger, their inevitable end draws nearer.
Latest casting news is that Danny Hatchard from EastEnders and Alex James-Hatton, Heathers and Newsies, will alternate in the role of Clyde Barrow during the tour. Katie Tonkinson (Bat Out of Hell) will play Bonnie Parker.
Catherine Tyldesley, Coronation Street and Strictly Come Dancing, will make her musical theatre debut as Blanche Barrow sharing this role with Daisy Wood-Davis, Hollyoaks and Holby City, at specific venues.
Sam Ferriday (Heathers, The Cher Show, and Jersey Boys) will play Marvin “Buck” Barrow. R&B and soul artist Jaz Ellington, The Voice UK and Eurovision: You Decide, will play The Preacher from February 22 to July 27.
Nate Landskroner, Waitress and Heathers, will alternate the role of Clyde Barrow during midweek matinee performances. The casting for the alternate Bonnie Parker will be announced soon.
