YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

Young Frankenstein Mel Brooks’ YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN comedy musical based on the Oscar-nominated hit movie will run in London's West End at the Garrick Theatre from Thursday 28th September.

The production will open at the Theatre Royal Newcastle where it will run from 26th August-9th September 2017.

Young Frankenstein  is  the wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Mary Shelley classic, when esteemed New York brain surgeon Professor Frederick Frankenstein inherits a castle and laboratory in Transylvania from his deranged genius grandfather Victor Von Frankenstein . But does he continue to run from his family’s tortured past or  stay in Transylvania to carry on his grandfather’s mad experiments bringing the dead back to life while falling in love with his sexy lab assistant Inga?

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is produced by Mel Brooks, Michael Harrison and Fiery Angel. Based on the 1974 film and co-written with Thomas Meehan, Brooks will once again collaborate with Broadway director and choreographer Susan Stroman for this  new production, bringing his and Gene Wilder’s classic movie to life on stage.

Casting news to date is that West End leading man HADLEY FRASER will play Dr Frankenstein, LESLEY JOSEPH is the forbidding and scary housekeeper Frau Blucher, ROSS NOBLE is hunchbacked servant Igor, DIANNE PILKINGTON is Elizabeth, SUMMER STRALLEN is Inga with PATRICK CLANCY, Joining them will be Imogen Brooke, Matt Crandon, Nathan Elwick, Kelly Ewins-Prouse, Andrew Gordon-Watkins, Sammy Kelly, Richard Pitt, Harriet Samuel-Gray, Gemma Scholes, Emily Squibb, Aron Wild and Josh Wilmott.

Book tickets for Young Frankenstein which starts previews on Thursday 28th September, with a press night on Tuesday 10th October. It is currently booking to 10th February 2018

Guide dogs are not allowed inside the auditorium. Staff are happy to dog-sit and can look after a maximum of 3 guide dogs per performance.
An usher will take you through the gates to the left of the building to an alternative entrance which leads to the Dress Circle. 1 step down to 2 spaces for wheelchair users at E13-15.
No steps to the women’s to the right of the foyer bar, through 2 doors This is usable by someone able to leave their wheelchair with assistance. No steps up to women’s at rear of Stalls, 18 steps down to the men’s.
