TOP HAT

Top Hat the MusicalSummer Strallen and Tom Chambers are starring in a tour of Top Hat. It is a new musical version of the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movie Top Hat, with music by Irving Berlin.

It is now transferring into London's West End opening at the Aldwych Theatre next April.

Top Hat the movie had five songs: Isn’t This A Lovely Day (To Be Caught In The Rain), Cheek To Cheek, No Strings, Piccolino and the title song Top Hat (White Tie And Tails).  The production team (director Matthew White, choreographer Bill Deamer and producer Kenny Wax) have also included Let’s Face The Music And Dance and I’m Putting All My Eggs In One Basket.

Tom Chambers has appeared in Holby City and Waterloo Road and wowed audiences on Strictly Come Dancing with his Astaire routine and Summer Strallen has most recently been playing Meg Giry in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies at the Adelphi Theatre.

They will be joined by Martin Ball (Horace Hardwick), Vivien Parry (Madge Hardwick), Ricardo Afonso (Alberto Beddini) and Stephen Boswell as the valet Bates.

With the ensemble: Lucy Jane Adcock, Lauren Appleby, Caroline Bateson, Jeremy Batt, Alan Burkitt, Hannah Cauchi, Adam Rhys Charles, Matthew Cheney, Russell Leighton Dixon, Charlotte Gale, Ian Goss, Alyn Hawke, Paul Kemble, Jenny Legg, Martin McCarthy, Grace McKee, Carley Myers, Kay Murphy, Tom Partridge, Alexandra Waite-Roberts, Holly Rostron, Charles Ruhrmund, Jhn Stacey and Callum Train.

One guide dog per performance allowed in Box D
2 spaces for wheelchair users plus one companion in Box D. The doorway is too narrow for motorised wheelchairs. Alternative space for a wheelchair user beside C1 in the Dress Circle on a slight slope. Transfer seat at C1.
