THE TIGER WHO CAME TO TO TEA

 

The Tiger Who Came to TeaDavid Wood's adaptation of The Tiger Who Came to Tea will play a four week summer daytime run at the Vaudeville Theatre in London's West End.

Based on the picture book written and illustrated by Judith Kerr the Riger Who Came to Tea show tells the story of Sophie and her mum who are interrupted by the big cat while having their tea. The who is described as being "packed with oodles of magic, sing a long songs and clumsy chaos".

Based on the picture book written and illustrated by Judith Kerr. Adapted for the stage with songs and lyrics by David Wood.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea is one of the best-selling picture books of all time, selling over 4 million copies since it was first published in 1968 and has been translated into over 20 languages.

Aimed at children aged three and above, The Tiger Who Came to Tea has a cast which includes Abbey Norman as Sophie, Jenanne Redman as Mummy and Alan Atkins as Daddy/Tiger

Prior to its West End dates, The Tiger Who Came to Tea will play a 24-date UK tour in venues including St Albans, Portsmouth, Southend, Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Camberley, Burgess Hill, Halifax, Dartford, Leicester, Swindon, Bournemouth and Chatham.

Steps to all levels. Wheelchair users who will remain in their chair can use the AAT Major stair-climber which gives access to the stalls, where seats S8-11 can be removed to create spaces. Patrons requiring the use of the stair climber are asked to arrive at the theatre 45 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Transfer seating available to any aisle seat on left-hand side of Stalls.
No adapted toilet but there is an arrangement with the Adelphi Theatre (25 metres along the Strand) to use their facilities
