Strictly Gershwin is a dazzling celebration of George Gershwin and the sparkling age of Hollywood music and dance.
Gershwin’s tunes including An American in Paris, Rhapsody in Blue, Summertime, Strike up the Band, Someone to Watch over Me, 'S Wonderful. Shall We Dance and I Got Rhythm.
The concert is homage to George Gershwin, the big band era, Hollywood musicals and the razzmatazz of the thirties. His famous tunes have been adapted by Gareth Valentine and will be combined with Derek Deane’s choreography featuring a journey in dance from ballet to tap, ballroom to jazz, conjures up the Silver Screen genius of Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers and Gene Kelly.
Strictly Gershwin features special guests and a live jazz orchestra.
