STOMP
Now in its eighth year Stomp is a fusion of percussion, movement and comedy which transforms everyday junk and clutter into infectious rhythm.
Stomp has no speech, dialogue, or even a plot but is the creation of rhythm, sound and movement using bodies and everyday objects, including brooms, cigarette-lighters, dustbins, hammers, oil drums and even the kitchen sink in non-traditional ways.
Stomp makes sounds using matchbooks as instruments and creates dance routines based around sweeping. The cast of 8 are a group of rhythmically gifted, extremely coordinated bodies who throw themselves into creating rhythms of every complexity and volume.
