SINGIN' IN THE RAIN

Singin' In The RainThe acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre production of Singin' in the Rain is opening in London's West End.

Singin' in the Rain was a 1952 American comedy musical film offering a comic depiction of Hollywood, and its transition from silent films to talkies. Don Lockwood is a silent movies star with fame, adulation and a convenient much publicised romance with his co-star Lina Lamont. But Hollywood is about to change forever and there is rumour in the studio of a new kind of film, where the actors actually talk, sing and dance

Adam Cooper, Daniel Crossley and Scarlett Strallen are playing the roles made famous by Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds. The West End cast also features Katherine Kingsley as blonde bombshell Lina Lamont, Michael Brandon as the highly-strung studio boss and Sandra Dickinson as gossip columnist Dora Bailey.

Singin’ in the Rain is the story of that first Hollywood musical when the silver screen found its voice. Its classic score features Make ‘em Laugh, Good Morning, Moses Supposes and Singin’ in the Rain.

The West End cast so far is Michael Brandon,Adam Cooper, Daniel Crossley, Brendan Cull, Flora Dawson, Sandra Dickinson, Jaye Juliette Elster, Peter Forbes, Gemma Fuller, Francis Haugen, Katherine Kingsley, David Lucas, Scott Mobley, Ebony Molina, Gillian Parkhouse, Sherrie Pennington, Lisa Ritchie, Scarlett Strallen and Nancy Wei George.
