The Invisible Man at the Menier Chocolate Factory is  H G  Wells’s classic retold in a comedy music hall spectacular which is full of  magical entertainment. It is set in the rustic village of Iping where the local inhabitants recount the mysterious happenings of the week that the sinister and unsociable Griffin arrived wrapped in bandages. This story combines tongue-in-cheek humour with amazing special effects and illusions.

An all star cast has now been announced including Maria Friedman - Stephen Sondheim Prom, Anna in The King and I, Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd , The Woman in White in the West End and on Broadway, Ragtime, Chicago, Passion and Maria Friedman Re-Arranged: John Gordon Sinclair - Gregory in Gregory’s Girl, Absurd Person Singular, She Loves Me and The Producers: Gary Wilmot - The Wizard of Oz,  Oliver, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Me and My Girl: Natalie Casey - Donna in the BBC’s Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Oklahoma! and Hobson’s Choice.

Also in the cast are  Christopher Godwin  Teddy Kempner, Jo Stone-Fewings, Gary Wilmot, Michael Beckley, Gerard Carey and Geraldine Fitzgerald.

The Invisible Man is directed by Ian Talbot, who was the Artistic Director of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre where he produced over 75 productions. Set Designs by Paul Farnsworth, Costume Designs by Matthew Wright, Lighting by Jason Taylor, Music by Steven Edis, Sound by Gareth Owen and Choreography by Sam Spencer-Lane.

Ken Hill's adaptation of H G Wells' classic The Invisible Man will include comedy music hall performance with magic and illusions by Paul Kieve whose previous stage credits include The Lord of the Rings and The Witches of Eastwick, Theatre of Blood and consultant to Derren Brown.

DISABLED ACCESS TO THE INVISIBLE MAN

Customers with visual or hearing impairments qualify for concession rates for themselves plus a companion. There is no infra red or loop system, but the size of the venue means you can sit only a few feet away from performers
Guide dogs are permitted inside the auditorium
Wheelchair access into the building is via our main entrance on Southwark Street. The theatre can take one wheelchair per performance, located at the front of the auditorium with an excellent view of the stage. There will always be at least one space available next to the wheelchair space for a companion.
