HAIR TOUR
The producers of the tour of Hair have filed for bankruptcy and cancelled the tour on 28th February. A statement issued by the Booking Office, the general managers of the show, reads: “We would like to make it clear the sole reason for the cancellation of the UK tour was that the producers, EJB Entertainment, filed for bankruptcy and therefore they were not in a position to fulfil their responsibilities. Whilst every effort was made to secure another producer, sadly it was to no avail. All the cast, their agents and ancillary companies working on the production remained, until the end, 100% committed to the UK tour of Hair.”

Cameron Mackintosh and Broadway Across America brought the award winning 2009 Broadway production to the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End in April 2010 when almost all of the American cast relocated to London. The London revival ran for six months and closed in September 2010.
Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical with a book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot tells the story of a country boy from Oklahoma who arrives in New York in the 1960s and falls in with a group of hippies called the Tribe.
Claude, his good friend Berger, their roommate Sheila and their friends struggle to balance their young lives, loves and the sexual revolution with their rebellion against the war and their conservative parents and society. Their free love and drug-enhanced happiness is disrupted by his Vietnam draft orders.
Hair is a celebration of life, love and freedom, but with a passionate cry for hope and change featuring some of the greatest songs ever written for the stage including Let The Sun Shine In, I Got Life, Good Morning Starshine, Hair and Aquarius.
