Jamie Wilson productions are producing a 2017 UK tour of the Watermill Theatre's production of Crazy For You, with Tom Chambers (Top Hat, White Christmas, Holby City and winner of Strictly Come Dancing) playing Bobby. 2014 Strictly Come Dancing winner and TV Presenter Caroline Flack is to  make her stage debut as Irene. Charlotte Wakefield is playing Polly and will be joined by Arthur Boan, Daniel Bolton, Holly Cassar, Neil Ditt, Kate-Anne Fenton, Cristopher Fry, Stacey Ghent, Matthew James Hinchcliffe, Kieran Kuypers, Kate Milner-Evans, Emma Jane Morton, Kate Robson-Stuart, Ned Rudkins-Stow, Seren Sandham-Davies and Mark Sangster.

The multi award-winning, romantic comedy, features a fabulous score from the Gershwin brothers’ songbook, filled with great dance numbers, charts the troubled love story of Bobby, son of a wealthy New York banking family and frustrated Broadway hoofer, and Polly, daughter of the proprietor of a failing theatre in Deadrock, Nevada. Sent to close the theatre down, Bobby falls for Polly and, in the guise of a Hungarian impresario, decides to save the theatre by putting on a show.

Mistaken identities, plot twists, heartbreak, happiness and  memorable tunes, including I Got Rhythm, They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Nice Work If You Can Get It and Embraceable You, all feature in this celebration of the great Broadway musicals.

Directed by The Watermill’s Artistic and Executive Director Paul Hart, the reimagined production has  musical arrangements by Catherine Jayes, choreography by Nathan M. Wright, design by Diego Pitarch, lighting by Howard Hudson and sound by Tom Marshall. The tour will open in Plymouth on 17th August 2017, and is currently booking to May 2018
