Summer StrallenSummer Strallen has most recently been playing Meg Giry in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies at the Adelphi Theatre.

Other West End credits include: Cats, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Guys and Dolls and The Boyfriend (for which she was nominated for the 2007 Olivier’ Award for Best Supporting Role in a Musical). She also starred with Elaine Paige in The Drowsy Chaperone (for which she was nominated for the 2008 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical).

In February 2008 she took over the role of Maria Von Trapp from Connie Fisher in Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End revival of The Sound of Music. Prior to her joining the show she was "planted" in the soap opera Hollyoaks with a storyline which eventually involved her auditioning for and getting the role of Maria in The Sound of Music. Strallen remained with the production until it closed in February 2009.

Strallen has three sisters who are also actresses: Saskia (Sasi), Zizi and Scarlett.

She has been starring alongside Tom Chambers in a new musical version of the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movie Top Hat which has been on tour and is now playing London's West End.
