SHARON D CLARKE

Sharon D ClarkeSharon D Clarke is well known for playing Lola Griffin in the BBC medical drama Holby City. She left the programme in 2008 to concentrate on her theatre work.


In 2008 Sharon D Clarke she joined Russell Watson as a judge on the BBC talent show Last Choir Standing. Other TV credits include: Waking the Dead, Soldier Soldier, Broken Glass, Between the Lines, Children's Ward, Stop, Look & Listen, Past Caring, The Singing Detective, EastEnders, the Bill and Where's Boo.

She is also noted for her West End theatre work with West End credits including Guys and Dolls Joanne Jefferson in Rent, Miss Sherman in Fame, Rafiki in The Lion King, Matron Mama Morton in Chicago, she originated the role of Killer Queen in the Ben Elton/Queen jukebox musical We Will Rock You and played Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray.

 Sharon D Clarke has been appearing in the Musical Ghost playing Oda Mae Brown (the phoney physic medium played in the film by Whoopi Goldberg) at the Piccadilly Theatre in London's West End.
