Scarlett Strallen

Scarlett Strallen trained at Arts Educational and the London Studio Centre. She made her Broadway in 2008 playing the title role of Mary Poppins. She had previously played the role twice in the West End and  first joined the show at the end of 2005 to replace  Laura Michelle Kelly.  She  left in 2006 to join the RSC’s musical production of The Merry Wives of Windsor in Stratford and returned to Mary Poppins in  2007 staying  with the production until it closed at the Prince Edward Theatre in 2008.

She has performed at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in Twelfth Night, Cymbeline and HMS Pinafore, at the London Palladium in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where she started out in he chorus and ended up playing Truly Scrumptious.  She has also appeared  Peggy Sue Got Married at the Shaftesbury , The Witches of Eastwick and Mamma Mia!

Strallen has also appeared on a number of audio books: as a child she was  Matilda Wormwood in an audio dramatisation of Roald Dahl's Matilda which is part of the Roald Dahl Theatre Collection. She also appears in plays for BBC Radio 4.

She is the sister of Summer Strallen and her aunt is Broadway, stage and TV actress Bonnie Langford

Other theatre credits include:  Aspects of Love (Young Jenny), Annie Get Your Gun (Jessie Oakley),both Prince of Wales, Dick Whittington at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, The Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliet with English National Ballet (Royal Festival Hall), The Children's Royal Variety Performance.

Film and television include:  Kevin Spacey's movie Beyond the Sea, No Sweat! (Jassy Pinkerton),in LRTV (Daisy Hayes) and The Angel of Nitshill Road (Celeste) for the BBC. Mary Poppins in the BBC production celebrating HM Queen Elizabeth’s 80th birthday.

Scarlett Strallen recently appeared in the Donmar Warehouse production of Sondheim's musical Passion.

She has played Mary Poppins in London and New York and Australia and has been appearing in London's West End in "Singin' in the Rain" with Daniel Crossley and Adam Cooper at the Palace Theatre.

She has just finished starring in A Chorus Line at the London Palladium.
