RICHARD BLACKWOOD

Richard BlackwoodRichard Blackwood is an English comedian, television personality, actor and MC. He co-presents a show on London’s Choice FM radio show and guests as a disc jockey at various nightclubs.

He presented the UK version of Singled Out on Channel 5 and presented The Richard Blackwood Show in 1999.

He scored UK #3 hit single in 2000 with “Mama Who Da Man” based on Mama Used to Say by his uncle Junior.

Blackwood appeared on Brass Eye in 2001: Holby City in 2003 and played the title character in the 2002 television series Ed Stone Is Dead. In March 2007 he was in the Bollywood film Don't Stop Dreaming.

He recently understudied Adrian Lester in the critically acclaimed adaptation of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Novello Theatre in London.

He recently played Donkey (the part that Eddie Murphy provided the voice for in the Shrek animated films) at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
