KERRY ELLIS

Kerry EllisKerry Ellis has recently completed two years playing the misunderstood and green witch Elphaba in the production of Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.  She previously played the role for six months at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway.

In 2001 she joined the cast of Cameron Mackintosh's West End revival of My Fair Lady where she became second understudy to Martine McCutcheon's Eliza Doolittle. She performed the part on numerous occasions and was subsequently spotted by Brian May and Ben Elton and in 2002 she was cast in We Will Rock You originating the role of Meat which she left in 2004 to play Ellen in Cameron Mackintosh's UK tour of Miss Saigon. In 2005 she joined the cast of Les Misérables at the Queen's Theatre playing the role of factory girl Fantine.

In 2008 Kerry played ‘Svetlana’ in “Chess In Concert” at the Royal Albert Hall opposite Josh Groban the American singer-songwriter who has sold close to 20 million albums in the United States.  During this year she also performed her rock version of "Defying Gravity" at the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium.

In March 2010 Kerry Ellis took over the role of Nancy from Jodie Prenger in Cameron Mackintosh's current London revival of Oliver! at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Kerry has just launched her first full album “Anthems” which is being produced by Brian May.
