KERRY ELLIS

Kerry EllisIn 2001 Kerry Ellis joined the cast of Cameron Mackintosh's West End revival of My Fair Lady where she became second understudy to Martine McCutcheon's Eliza Doolittle.

She performed the part on numerous occasions and was subsequently spotted by Brian May and Ben Elton and in 2002 she was cast in We Will Rock You originating the role of Meat which she left in 2004 to play Ellen in Cameron Mackintosh's UK tour of Miss Saigon. In 2005 she joined the cast of Les Misérables at the Queen's Theatre playing the role of factory girl Fantine.

In 2008 Kerry played ‘Svetlana’ in “Chess In Concert” at the Royal Albert Hall opposite Josh Groban the American singer-songwriter who has sold close to 20 million albums in the United States.  During this year she also performed her rock version of "Defying Gravity" at the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium.

Kerry played the misunderstood and green witch Elphaba in the production of Wicked! at the Apollo Victoria Theatre for two years which she previously played for six months at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway.

In March 2010 Kerry Ellis took over the role of Nancy from Jodie Prenger in Cameron Mackintosh's London revival of Oliver! at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane which she played until the production closed on 7th January 2011.

Kerry has just launched her first full album “Anthems” which was produced by Brian May.

She has just completed an Anthems Concert tour (with Brian May) which kicked off at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of Lymphona and Leukaemia Research before touring the UK.

Kerry did a short tour of The Born Free Tour Acoustic and by Candlelight with Queen guitarist Brian May in November aid of the charity.

Kerry just been playing Beth in the arena tour of Jeff Wayne's The War of The Worlds: The New Generation - Alive on Stage.

Next April she stars in a short tour of Rent in Concert which is celebrating 20 years since it was first staged.
