ELENA ROGER

Elena Roger is an Argentinean actress who starred as Eva Perón in the West End revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita at the Adelphi theatre for which she was nominated for best actress in a musical at the Olivier Awards.

Miss Roger is set to reprise the Evita role on Broadway in 2012 starring opposite Ricky Martin as Che.

Among her theatre credits in her native Buenos Aires are original productions of Nine, Beauty and the Beast , Fantine in Les Misérables and Annette in Saturday Night Fever.

Other productions include Tango por Dos (in London), the musicals Fiddler on the Roof, Houdini and La Fiaca.  Roger appeared playing Edith Piaf at the Donmar Warehouse and Vaudeville Theatre for which she was awarded the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

She has recorded a CD “Vientos Del Sur” (Winds from the South) which is a tango-inspired collection of pop songs.

Elena Roger is playing Fosca in the Sondheim musical Passion at the Donmar Warehouse from 10th September-27th November.
