Brenda Edwards rose to fame during her appearance on the second series of The X Factor in the Over 25’s category when she came fourth.

After The X Factor she was cast as Mama Morton in the hit West End musical Chicago and stayed in the show until March 2007. Since then she has been invited back several times. 

Brenda has also appeared many times on television on various shows including: Loose Women, The Weakest Link and The Wright Stuff. She is a regular correspondent for GMTV.

Brenda has also performed as part of In Celebration of My Sisters at the Brixton Academy and made a special guest appearance at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium in front of 40,000 people. She has supported Smokey Robinson in concert at Rochester Castle and performed as guest vocalist with The Motown Show, performing throughout the UK.

In 2007 Brenda created the role of Pearl Pastor in a production of Carmen Jones at the Royal Festival hall. She was invited back for a season of intimate concerts in the Clore Ballroom.

She has been playing Killer Queen in the West End Production of We Will Rock You.
