AMANDA HOLDEN

 

Amanda HoldenAmanda Holden’s first television appearance was as a contestant on Cilla Black’s Blind Date in 1991. She graduated from Mountview Theatre School in July 1992 and immediately landed her first role in Granada's In Suspicious Circumstances with Edward Woodward.

 Since then she has appeared in a number of television drama and comedy series including  Wild at Heart , Smack the Pony, EastEnders, Hearts and Bones, Cutting It, Kiss Me Kate, The Grimleys, co-starred with Harry Enfield in comedy series Celeb, Mad About Alice, Big Top, a documentary Out of My Depth where she trained as a midwife and delivered a baby and a new three part show Amanda Holden's Fantasy Lives.

 She is currently a judge on Britain's Got Talent  with Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell with auditions for the fourth series currently taking place.

 She appeared in the tile role of Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Shaftesbury Theatre in 2003 and was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award.

 Her presenting credits include When Britain First Had Talent, Really Wild At Heart, Greasemania, the National Music Awards, Celebrating the Carpenters (with  Ronan Keating), A Night of Heroes (with Phillip Schofield) and she is the UK Correspondent for The Early Show on CBS in America.

 She presented The Children's Champions Awards 2010 with Chris Evans as well as a new show for ITV1 called The Door which she presented with Chris Tarrant.

 Amanda recently played Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
